Now that you have all these pictures in digital format, how do you share them? Before digital, you had negatives that you could take in to your local drugstore or photography shop to get prints. Or you could mail your negatives to a photo processor.
It's not much different with digital! If anything, it's more convenient. You can still take your digital images to many drugstores or photography stores. And mailorder is even easier. Now it's Web order - and you can do it all from your computer in just a few minutes with more control over your prints than ever before.
You can also print your photos on your own color printer. The price of printers has gotten to be very reasonable, although by the time you add up the cost of special photo printing paper and the ink, it's not a big savings over having someone else do your printing for you. But the instant gratification of being able to see the print minutes after you take the picture is certainly worth something! There are many sources of information about printing, so I won't go into that now.
I've used several online photo processors for prints. The one I use most often is PhotoWorks. The quality is decent and the prices are good.
